Hi my name is Jeremiah I’m 21 years old and I’m working at MissionFit this summer.
A moment I felt proud was the second week I started here. Even though I didn’t want to come that day, I still came. Got my head together. I had to adjust to the environment to feel like myself and adjust to everybody else. I had to be patient and learn everything new is not bad. And I have to give people a chance.
The kids came in that day. A little kid came up to me and asked, “Are you good?” and that was the first time I’ve been asked that. I wanted to tell him no, but I didn’t want to show him what I was mad about. After he asked me how I felt, I felt better.
Since working here, I’ve learned patience, leadership, compassion, and empathy.
